Fun Day

Fun Day is an Annual Event organised by Early Years Network Tower Hamlets. This day becomes more and more successful every year, with a great many parents/carers and children from the Borough and surrounding areas attending. Many groups and local voluntary organisations use this day as way of networking, fundraising and publicising their group. We provide a variety of entertainment and activities for children alongside fundraising stalls, including Albion Kids Show, Puppet Show, Face Painting, Henna Painting, Pirate Ship, messy play and lots more.

The day is held at Mudchute Farm, Pier Street, Isle of Dogs E14. On this day Playgroups, Parent & Toddler groups, Crèches and Nurseries throughout Tower Hamlets have the opportunity to hold a stall FREE OF CHARGE, enabling them to fundraise for their individual group or organisation.  We run a BUMPER RAFFLE with the prizes donated by local businesses and some larger organisations.  The groups can also fundraise by selling tickets for the raffle where they get to retain 50% of the sales.

The groups work very hard for and on this day to raise funds that will hopefully allow them to provide a more stimulating learning environment within their groups.

This year we again want to provide as much FUN and ENTERTAINMENT as we can financially run to.  Most of those who come along on the day are low-waged, living in cramped, poor condition high-rise accommodation or on large estates and do not have access to any safe space to play.

This day does provide for some people, who are sometimes very isolated and vulnerable, a way of getting out of their house into an environment where there are other parents, carers and under 5's all having a FUN time in a very safe space.  The day is invaluable as a social event, fundraising arena and for children, who live in one of the most deprived boroughs, to enjoy a host of entertainment.
